Margie L. Clark, 72, of Delphos, died at 12:59 p.m. Tuesday at St.
Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Rockford, to Frederick and Grace
(Wise) Shock. Her father died and her mother remarried to Charles
“Bus” Kreischer, who died in 1984. Her mother survives in Delphos.
On June 16, 1956, she married John J. Clark, who preceded in death
on Dec. 21, 1988.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John
the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Melvin Verhoff officiating.
Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
Friday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will
begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Preferred memorials are to the St. John’s Teacher Endowment Fund and
Vancrest Assisted Living Center.
Other survivors include sons David (Cheryl) Clark and Dick (Brenda) Clark of Delphos; daughters Cathy (Dave) Desenberg and Kellie (Tony) Saine of Delphos; step-sister Roxie (Bill) Kreider of Fremont; brother Richard (Diane) Shock of Powell; and grandchildren Amy, David, John, Adam, Ryan, Katie, Tim, Sarah, Kristina, Becca, Erica and Robby.
Mrs. Clark was a secretary at St. John’s High School where she retired in 2001 after 32 years. She was also a Marion Township clerk. She held membership with St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a card club for 45 years, which she truly enjoyed. She was a St. John’s athletics fan, a 1953 Van Wert High School graduate, was devoted to family and grandchildren and cherished the friendships she made at Vancrest Assisted Living.
