DSJ Alumni Mentor Program

    The St. John's Alumni Association in conjunction with St. John's High School is establishing an Alumni Mentor Program.  The goal of the program is to invite DSJ alumni to return home to speak to current DSJ high school and jr. high students and provide them with information and inspiration on their chosen profession.

     The programs first speaker was Dr. Bill Scherger, '75.  Dr. Scherger returned to St. John's High School on April 13 and spoke to 130 high school and jr. high students about various medical careers.  He told the students that he wasn't an outstanding student but with hard work, dedication and focus he became a successful doctor.  Dr. Scherger also stressed that God plays a large part in his life still today.  With his God-given skills he is able to help people and do God's work on a daily basis.
